What We Believe

“I believe what I believe is what makes me what I am.
I did not make it. No, it is making me.” -Rich Mullins

God We believe there is only one eternal God, the creator of the entire universe. He exists in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus We believe Jesus Christ lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. He will someday return to earth to judge both the living and the dead.
The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make everyone aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.
Bible We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, is without error, and is entirely relevant for daily living. The 66 books (Genesis – Revelation) represent the entire Word of God and is the final authority for the church.
Humanity We believe humanity, created by God, willfully sinned and as a result is lost and without hope apart from receiving salvation through Jesus Christ.
Eternity We believe all humans are destined to die once and then face judgment. All of humanity will spend its eternal existence either in Heaven with Christ or in Hell apart from God.
Salvation We believe people are saved by God’s grace and that the process of salvation includes: believing in Him, repenting of sin, confessing Christ as their Lord and Savior, and being baptized, by immersion, in Christ for the forgiveness of sins.
Church We believe the church is the corporate body of all who believe in the biblical Jesus Christ. Its mission is to go out into all the world and preach the Gospel, baptizing in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Communion We believe the Lord instructed all believers to practice communion regularly in remembrance of his sacrifice. We take communion weekly and welcome all believers to join us.
Marriage We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: The uniting of one man and one woman in a single exclusive union.
